Our congregation observed Maundy Thursday with a simple soup and bread supper, followed by a short service of prayer, music and reflection in our Chapel. Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday) commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus with his disciples.

A Night of Poetry & Music

Saturday, April 20th, 7:00

If you missed our night of poetry & music presented by journalist, educator, poet & activist Ketu Oladuwa and UCC pastor Rev. Bert Marshall, click here to watch the performance.

On May 21st, 2023, our congregation conducted a covenanting service to formally welcome Reverend Jennifer Kimball as a church member and our Designated Pastor. A reception with lots of tasty food followed in the dining hall. We are looking forward to this next phase in our ministry to our community.

A BLAST TO THE PAST!

We recently hosted the Barony Bergental chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism for a journey back to the Renaissance with feasting, fellowship, music, and jousting on the lawn!

Volunteer Opportunities!

Are you looking for ways to use your skills to benefit others in our church and our community? Through volunteering, you will meet wonderful people, exercise your mind and body, and enjoy the satisfaction of helping others. Click here for a list of volunteer opportunities, some of which are one-time events, while others are on-going.

On May 21, we celebrated Pentecost Sunday, which occurs 50 days after Easter. As described in the Acts of the Apostles in the Bible, the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples of Jesus Christ as flames of fire, enabling them with the ability to proclaim Christ’s teachings throughout the world. Hence, we celebrate Pentecost Sunday as the birthday of the church.

Our Knitting Kneelers ministry recently presented new prayer shawls to be blessed by our Pastor. These beautiful shawls are distributed at no charge to individuals who may need prayers and loving care during a difficult time.

PRIDE MONTH OPPORTUNITY

Many communities now celebrate PRIDE month with activities to recognize, honor and affirm the many people who have been marginalized due to their race, gender, ethnicity, or socio-economic status in our society. We believe ALL people should be proud of who they are. We offer this PRIDE bingo card as a way to raise our consciousness and present actions we ourselves can take to be more inclusive towards everyone. Can you check off enough boxes to get BINGO? If the PRIDE Bingo card does not appear in the box below, click here to load your copy.
