Our Mission

In the name of God and Jesus Christ, a congregation of the United Church of Christ, we declare this Church to be open and welcoming to all seekers to know and worship God. As a congregation of faith, we take seriously the biblical call to love God and our neighbors as we love ourselves. We celebrate the variety of our cultures, race, ages and different abilities.

No matter who you are, or where you are in life’s journey, you are welcome here.

Services at 9:30am on Sundays

Our close-knit and caring community can best be described by this WELCOME to DALTON video which was created by a young man raised here, Kyle Dempsey, founder of Trout and Coffee Productions.

Joyfully Welcoming Our New Pastor!

We welcomed our pastor, Rev. Jennifer Livermore, in March of 2023. We are excited about the skills and experience in worship, scripture, and community outreach which she brings to our congregation. She is a graduate of Andover Newton Theological School and has served three other churches as pastor. In addition to serving our church, Pastor Jennifer is one of three pastors associated with the Cathedral of the Beloved, an outdoor worship ministry, in Pittsfield. To learn more about Pastor Jennifer, join us for worship on Sundays at 9:30 or Bible study at 9:00 on Fridays. All are welcome regardless of their faith traditions.

And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:13

The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Galatians 5:22-23

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

The goal of our Sunday School program is to provide an engaging learning experience incorporating stories, songs, activities and fellowship. The program is open to all children through 8th grade. High school students are welcome to join us as helpers. We have recently learned about using prayer to ask for help for ourselves and others, choosing our words carefully, appreciating our beautiful world, and finding out how Christians are like pumpkins! Plans for the Advent & Christmas season including stories, crafts and skits are under development. As a congregation, we rejoice to once again have the energy, insight and laughter of children among us. Sunday School takes place from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. during our morning worship time, which begins at 9:30.
